New Product Development Aaron has been designing producible electronic products since 1970 We are very good at listening to a customer describe a product and then turning that idea into a working prototype. Our design team’s goal is to interweave cleaver design solutions with manufacturing savvy to create an inexpensively producible, cost effective, design. The process of designing a new product from the ground up has many steps. We are familiar with them all. Electronic Product Development From the beginning of every design Aaron likes to consider DFM (Design For Manufacturing) and DFT (Design For Test) issues. It is less costly to design for the anticipated production volumes from the beginning rather than as an afterthought. Most of the products we have designed have embedded microprocessors in them. Since some processors cost less than a dollar each now the power of intelligent processors can used to benefit almost every design. It would be cost prohibitive to have engineers from every specialization on our staff so our staff engineers work with a wide array of consultants in almost every discipline of electronics or related fields. We have developed this network over decades of experience in electronics design and development in the Northwest. Some of our customers take our designs and build them in their own production facility. However, by having our production department build for you we can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to have working prototypes or production units because of the close coupling between our engineering and production staff. Our deep experience in manufacturing means that we can do a better job of DFM than some engineering companies that have no direct manufacturing experience. Further, to expedite your project Aaron’s production department can start ordering long lead parts before the design is complete. And with our engineers constantly available to consult with our production department Aaron can, when working as a synergistic design and manufacturing company for your product, resolve production problems almost immediately to keep production moving.
